Licensed Clinical Psychologist Beyhan Perim Seçmen completed her high school education in the
state of Connecticut, U.S.A., and subsequently began College Level psychology studies at Cambridge Ruskin International College in the United Kingdom. After successfully completing the College Level program, she was admitted to the Psychology Program at Cambridge ARU, accredited by the British Psychological Society, and graduated with First Class Honours.
During the final years of her psychology education, her research (thesis) was supervised by Dr. Sarah Kuppen, a graduate of the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford.
She pursued her postgraduate specialization in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of London, which she completed with Merit. Her specialization research project was supervised by department chair Dr. Andrew Cooper.
During her clinical psychology training, she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team at St. George’s Hospital (one of the UK’s long-established hospitals operating under the National Health Service – NHS) in the neurorehabilitation inpatient service in London. She worked with patients with stroke and brain injuries, organizing goal-oriented therapy sessions each week.
Due to her outstanding performance at St. George’s, she was transferred to the outpatient neurorehabilitation service at Queen Mary’s Hospital, where she continued working with brain injury and stroke patients as part of the clinical team. While working at both hospitals, she provided a wide range of neurorehabilitation services including psychotherapy, initial assessments, behavioral activity sessions, insight-oriented interventions, and neurocognitive testing, while also conducting joint sessions with neuropsychiatrists.
She currently provides psychological sessions in English for clients residing in Turkey and continues to work onlinewith clients based in the United Kingdom.
Her principal fields of expertise include family conflicts and relationship issues, couples therapy, depression, anxiety, attention deficits, sensory integration and focus difficulties, developmental disorders, exam anxiety, stress management, and psychological support for cognitive impairments following brain injury or stroke.
She holds official certification in Family and Marriage Counseling approved by the Turkish Ministry of Education (MEB) and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). She is a member of both the British Psychological Society (BPS)and the American Psychological Association (APA).
In addition to her clinical practice, she is the official representative of Turkey and an internationally certified trainerof the Tomatis® Method.
She is also the official trainer and country representative in Turkey for NEEURO, a Singaporebased company specializing in neuroscience technologies.
Beyhan Perim Seçmen is a founding partner and Chief Scientific Officer of NEOTERAPİ, a neurotechnology company dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential and improve their quality of life.
She is a member of the Caddebostan Rotary Club and currently serves as its President for the 2025–2026 term.
